About Karissa

Hello, I'm Karissa
The Heart Behind the Blooms
After years of city life, I traded the bustle for a slower, more intentional way of creating — one that honours the beauty of natural form, movement, and seasonality. I settled in the Cotswolds and found exactly the landscape I'd always dreamed of working within.
My philosophy is simple: no two designs should ever be the same. Each arrangement reflects the moment it's made — the season, the palette, and the story behind the person it's created for.
Whether I'm guiding a workshop group through their first hand-tied bouquet or designing the florals for a couple's wedding day, I bring the same quiet care and intention to every single stem.
Where My Love for Flowers Began
I've always had a deep affection for flowers, their colour, fragrance, and quiet way of marking life's moments. Growing up in regional southwest Queensland, springtime felt like magic.
My grandmother was the true gardener of the family; her cottage garden was her pride and joy, and even in her eighties she was still winning ribbons at local flower shows. Those early memories shaped my appreciation for nature's rhythm — the beauty of something grown with care, and the joy it brings when shared.
My Approach
Wild, seasonal
& full of feeling
I draw inspiration from the hedgerows, gardens and landscapes that surround me in the Cotswolds. I work only with seasonal, locally sourced flowers.
My work is guided by the flowers and the story they’re meant to hold. I welcome the imperfect and the gently unruly, letting each design feel warm, natural, and true to the Foxglove & Fable aesthetic.
